I have my gear "listed" with my homeowners. It is pretty reasonable...I am with Alstate. It is not really for business use, but you shoot a lot of person stuff, so you should be alright. Other companies may not even care and or ask.

I have my camera equipment insured with State Farm and everything is listed with prices, serial nos. and original bill of sales and we settled on a dollar value of the policy. They did ask me if I used the equipment professionally. Remember if you purchase and list items individually its best to review the list at least annually to make sure everything is added/deleted to keep current. With the price of cameras and lenses the annual insurance premuim is cheaper than replacing a shoe mount flash. Good luck.

That doesn't make sense. At least on mine, I am pretty sure I can add anything that has a value. In fact, new purchase are covered for 30 days. So because I have a listed policy rider, if I buy something... it is covered. I just have to get them a receipt in 30 days. Like I added my iPad...got there on the 30th day.
